// Quinksy’s coming out.//
I’ve decided it’s time. An increasing number of people have been figuring out my identity, especially since I created the Quinksy facebook. And enough people that I’ve decided that before the Quidditch community outs me, I want to be the one to announce my identity. I prefer to out myself rather than be trapped and revealed against my will by those who have found me out. For those prefer the mystery, do not click “Read More.”
This has been incredibly fun, everyone. Really. I’ve loved being the (original!) mystery quidditch blogger for the past 11 months. I never expected my anonymity would rouse so much interest like the Who’s Quinksy facebook group and even a segment on Off The Pitch And On The Air… You all are beyond amazing. And this has been a huge bit of fun for me and my few friends who were aware of my identity all along. I’ve loved getting to know you all in a way that I wouldn’t if I had never been anonymous.
I know a lot of you love the mystery and actually never want to know. So, for those people, I apologize, but you know as well as I did that the time had to come eventually. If you’re an active member of the Quidmunity, you will undoubtedly find out my identity even if you don’t read past the spoiler marker of this post, but I hope for your enjoyment of the mystery that it takes a while to get to you. But I have a feeling this will cause a bit of a stir…
To those who have known my identity for a while now, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping it a secret. It’s made it so much more worth while and I thank you for respecting my wishes to remain anonymous. But you may now officially brag to everyone how you knew all along (or for however long). ;) To those who legitimately went through the detective work of finding my identity and then contacted me with their proof - well done. You saw through all my red herrings and sarcasm/jokes I’ve thrown at you (to everyone else: You’ll understand when you click Read More) and were able to put the real pieces together.
I will of course continue blogging. Nothing will change. On Tumblr I still hope you will all refer to me as Quinksy, just for old time’s sake. And in real life, well, that’s up to you. I won’t mind either way.
So there you go. My beautiful, beautiful followers, it’s been a great ride. Think of this not as the end, but as the beginning of the next great adventure.
